Hairless Dogs -- Rats With Bangs
I know what you're thinking ... What a scary looking dog. Don't be frightened. I promise this little trembling dog doesn't bite.
Two weeks ago while out to dinner with two other couples, one of the wives told us she'd just purchased a hairless dog for her kids. What I discovered is that this kind of dog is ideal for people who have allergies.
I know it isn't the prettiest dog in the world. Don't judge him solely on his appearance ... all he wants is a little bit of affection.
For my son, who's allergic to everything, it would be his dream to have a dog that's not a stuffed animal.
Hair, or not.
That dog is kind of cute! ;) I've heard that these hairless dogs and short-haired chihuahuas are ideal for kids with allergies and asthma. I've also been told that giving a kid with asthma a chihuahua, the asthma will transfer to the dog and the kid will be cured. http://www.motherhoodinmexico.com/2010/09/what-is-that.html
ReplyDeleteLeslie, I just commented on the post you linked. TOO. MUCH. *LOL* I do like the chihuahua recommendation. I know our son would love to have one. He borrows two of the neighbor's long-haired chihuahua's and walks them on occasion, but has to be really careful not to pet them. As for the dried skunk lung tea in your post, three words: "Ay Dios mio!" : D Thanks for commenting, amiga.
ReplyDeleteGood advice (for this dog and for all people!) Don't judge solely on appearance...I think all anyone wants is a little bit of affection. Your images--both the photographic and the poetic ones--are beautiful, Ezzy!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you getting one Ezzy? I think they are cute actually!

Jen, thank you! Yes a good lesson, for sure.
ReplyDeleteTara, as soon as I convince my husband. I think as long as we feed the dog people-food, we don't have to worry about him licking our son and
passing allergens, although, there's still some on their saliva, which is the source of dander. : (
Thank you commenting, ladies!
Love is love :) I won't judge the little guy!
