JUST FOR FUN: Finding Gamera on the Beach
We were lucky enough to get away and enjoy a little sun and sand this weekend. Although most of these outings turn up some interesting sea creatures, it's the first time we've captured anything more exotic than a run of the mill clam or sea crab.
Pictured above is a sea turtle our son and his little friend found near a storm drain. For those of you old enough to remember, don't you think he bears a striking resemblance to a Japanese celebrity? :p
Check out these special effects (you may have to go directly to YouTube to view) ...

Sofia, thank you. I'm glad you appreciate my being a goofball. *lol*
Deletelol Yes, I remember that goofy show! Godzilla.
ReplyDeleteLooks like those boys had a great time.
They did have fun ... digging! Gotta love the old horror flicks. *besos*
DeleteI was at the beach as well this weekend! And yesterday I went to visit a colleague of mine to her house and she had like 6 lizards and 1 turtle! they were so cute! I love reptiles!
ReplyDeleteI do, too. Lizards are adorable, btw. Especially the bearded dragon type. :)
DeleteWe did not go to the beach this weekend :(
ReplyDeleteBut glad you had did & had fun! And I love you're reading Oscar - LOVE that book.
Yes, a wee bit like Godzilla in deed.
~ Lisa
Lisa, I'm so happy to be rereading Oscar. Even though it's written by a Dominican, in an odd way it's like being home. Love. It.
DeleteThe resemblance is dead on! (note-I'm playing the video above and typing at the same time and Daniel just broke out singing the song..... HA! I didn't even know he knew it) Ok, so back to what I was typing. When we went to the beach, there were signs everywhere, stating if we saw a sea turtle to inform the front desk (of where we were staying) that it was illegal to touch them etc... I guess Florida is one of the places sea turtles will lay their eggs.
